Elephants in Yala National Park and Sustainable Wildlife Conservation.

Yala used to famous for elephants many years ago. Now elephant numbers are growing again. This is perhaps due to loss of migratory path habitat and encroachment of unauthorised settlements and farming lands.

At Isle of Smiles Wild, we are conscious of the need for sustainable wildlife conservation. Our team members at part of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society which has a strong voice for the plight of elephants particularly.
